PROGRAM DETAILS
In our Cancer Smancer Reimagined - Living Your Best Sustainable Life Program students 5 to 18 years old, in grades Kindergarten through 12 grade, learn about cancer as a group of diseases, characteristics of cancer, risk factors, prevalence, diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and proper nutrition. They also learn to compare the use of conventional, alternative, and combined medicines to prevent and treat these diseases that collectively seem difficult.
The program also includes a critical thinking sustainability portion and incorporates English Language Arts (ELA), Math, Science, Engineering, and Art. Our goal is to create transcendent life long-learners, who are passionate about pursuing careers in STEAM.
The program will commence on Saturdays from April 15th, 2023 at 10 AM to 12:30 PM for 12 weeks. At the end of the 12 weeks, students will have a final project where they will demonstrate their knowledge and understanding using visual and performing arts in a hybrid session at a paid and sponsored event (location TBA).
